Dash was with us when we took my Granny to get fitted for a wig during her fight with lung cancer. We explained the process to him and he asked if he could donate his hair one day. That was a couple of months ago, since then he occasionally talked about it but never said he was ready. Last week (according to him-after falling off the monkey bars because his hair flew in his face), he decided it was time to cut it off. I let him pick out the hairstyle and then we got recommendations on a local stylist. Grace at Kaos was super fabulous with him. He went with a bit longer style then we were expecting, but ended up with *just* enough to donate.
He loves his new style….and I love not having to use detangler on him everyday.

My little guy has long blond curls too. He’s been saying lately that he wants his hair to be like Daddy’s, meaning short. I guess it’s time for my husband to grow his hair out!

That is so sweet. His hair was super long! My daughter donated her hair last spring. She was hoping that the hair went to little kids, but I can now tell her that it might have gone to someone’s Granny. Her hair grows so slowly that it might be another 6 years before she’ll be able to do it again.
