GoLite Winter Gear Giveaway

Over the past year I have fallen in love with GoLite’s products. They are probably best known for their camping and hiking gear, but I have started turning to them for my running gear.

That squeal you hear? That’s the sound I make each time I open a package from GoLite. I am constantly impressed by the quality of their products. I can run in them and wash and run and wash to my hearts content and they still look as nice as the day I got them.

So, when I was offered some cold weather gear I of course jumped at the chance, and ignored the fact that the odds of me needing it in Austin were pretty slim.

Well guess what? It snowed in Austin last week!

That tiny bit of snow shut down the city. And while everyone else was using it as an excuse to bundle up inside, I was THRILLED. I could FINALLY test out my cold weather gear.

So I made my poor husband stand outside in a windchill of 9 degrees, taking pictures, as I happily ran. (there was a smile on MY face, but pretty sure HE wasn’t smiling)

Their Wind River Softshell Jacket is my new go-to jacket. It’s water resistant, has zippered pockets and adjustable closures at the wrist.

Best of all, I feel like a stud when I wear it. Not sure why, but it brings out the Italian sports car driver in me. Makes me want to pop my collar and show off my greasy chest hair.

Men, your version is just as snazzy So, that’s pretty cool, right? But the jacket will only keep your UPPER body warm. GoLite wants YOU to get out and hit the trails no matter the weather, and you certainly can’t do that without pants on. I happen to be in love with their Sanitas Run Pant. They are semi-fitted, so they are comfortable without being bulky. Fitted, without being obscene. My favorite part is the zippered ankles.

Sidenote: One of the things I most appreciate about GoLite is their commitment to the environment. I see a lot of companies starting to make small efforts to be more environmentally friendly. The unique thing about GoLite is that their whole company is BUILT on green concepts. Check out more about their values and the programs they have in place HERE.

GIVEAWAY:One lucky person will win a GoLite Wind River Jacket and a pair of their Sanitas Run Pants. Ends midnight 2/20. Winner drawn by random number generator. I’m giving you tons of ways to enter.

  1. Oooh, I love environment friendly work out gear. Checked out their site and I love anything base layer that keeps me dry. Even though it's nice to have warm stuff on top, if your base layer is bad then you're setting yourself up for failure.

  2. I "like" you on fb. And I just like you. :)

  3. Running gear for me is stuff that fits well and stays put. For instance, I have slim hips and a flat butt. So I need something that's going to stay up during my run. Also sleeves that don't ride up or rub funny.

  4. Why do I need cold weather gear? Because we only had one day last week here in Denver that started out above 0 degrees. Brr!

  5. You look good in that Ferrari!I really like their site! I sorta want that beartooth vest. Could you review that and then send it to me? OK, thanks!

  6. Liked you on FB. I just started my FB page, too. :)

  7. I don't mind running in cold weather, but I don't deal well with rain and/or/plus wind. So, I treadmill it.

  8. Pockets that zip are a must!

  9. I need cold weather gear 'cause I live in Seattle. It's cold here. A lot.

  10. First I linked it on MvM.

  11. Then I spread the word via MvM Facebook status.

  12. Then I Tweeted!

  13. I liked your blog on facebook

  14. Liked GoLite on Facebook.

  15. I started running in October and have since decided to train for a half marathon. I run 3 times a week, and I don't have a treadmill, so its the great outdoors or bust!

  16. I agree that pockets are a must! I do have an armband for my phone, but I find it so much easier if i can zip it in a pocket and go.

  17. Why do I need cold weather gear? I live in Montana! Seriously, it's winter 9 months out of the year here.

  24. I blogged ;) misslofly.blogspot.com

  25. I "liked" GoLite on fb…misslofly.blogspot.com

  26. Obviously the cold weather gear perks my interest, living in NH… however, also, their backpack line is really interesting. Especially given the fact that I like to go on day hikes and camping trips.

  27. I typically take my activity indoors in the cold weather. But at least on the days that it does warm up (above freezing) I try to get outside and at least do something.

  28. When choosing running gear I look for 2 things. pockets (of course) and fit. Still being a plus sized woman, I want something that's going to fit my body well.

  29. And I need cold weather gear because I live in New Hampshire, and this winter in particular has been especially brutal.

  30. I need cold weather gear because I live in MAINE!

  31. My current winter running gear is stuff I picked up at Kohls, and I am pretty happy with them. But I do NOT have a winter running JACKET, so I am excited about this giveaway!

  32. I like the wildwood sleeveless run top…love the art on it.

  33. I look for things that layer well when I buy cold weather gear.

  34. i live in MAINE, so the cold weather gear would be perfect! Love your blog!

  36. I try to get outside whenever I can, as long as it's not windy. When it's yucky outside, I hit the treadmill or pop in a workout DVD.

  38. i "like" you on FB! Great way to keep up to date on your adventures!

  39. I like the looks of their baselayers- I get so sweaty that I'm always looking for something extra wicking. I have my eye on the BL-2 Sleeveless Top.

  40. When I look for running gear I'm looking for well fitting (can be hard- I'm very short!) high quality, quiet material (I hate "swoosh swoosh!") wicking, and either very cool or ar appropriately warm- it is either 90% humidity here or -40 degrees. EXTREME!

  41. The Windriver soft shell that you are wearing in your pic looks so versatile. I love that one!I wonder if the puffy jackets would warm in our Canadian winters?

  42. I NEED cold weather here because I live in a horrible arctic tundra. The weather is like Death on Mt Everest out there 100% of the time…

  43. Am posting to my blog.

  44. I stay super active in the cold weather 1: because I have no choice and work outside in a very active job (brrrr) and I continue to put in 25+ miles per week on the treadmill- or outside whenever I can!

  45. Cool giveaway. Ok, entry under category 1 – What piques my interest the most is the tents. We need a family tent and have been borrowing one from my brother lately but it's not lightweight or cool.

  46. #2 – liked you last week. Still do.

  47. #3 – I've running outside in tights, long-sleeve tech, hat & gloves up to 34 degrees out or going to the gym under that.

  48. #4 – Liked them.

  49. #5 – I look for good fit and something reflective since I run in the dark most of the time.

  50. I shared the link on facebook.

  51. Ok, linked it on my blog.

  52. Ooh! I LOVE GoLite gear! My favorite are the packs, but the rain gear is pretty snazzy, too. And we have an awesome GoLite tent. The only GoLite thing I've had mixed reactions to is their old trail running shoes. I'd love to try some of their runnings tights or hiking pants.

  53. Staying active in winter? In addition to getting out for the regular runs and indoor bike rides, I do a lot of snowshoeing and hiking. This past weekend, my husband and I took our dogs out for a six-mile night hike on snow-covered trails. We got home just after midnight. It was pretty fantastic.

  54. I liked GoLite on Facebook!

  55. I'm a pocket fan, too, when it comes to running gear. I love the shirts that have the sleeve pocket, and the tights with a back pocket.

  56. Why do I need cold weather gear? Because I do crazy things like six-mile night hikes in 25 degree weather and six-day races in the Canadian Rockies!

  57. "liked" YOU on Facebook!

  58. "like" GoLite on Facebook!

  59. OKay, I'm totally in love with the Vermillion Thermal 1/3-Zip Top in grey and pink (red?). Love.Love.Love.

  61. I could definitely use the Black Mountain thermal wind pants :)

  62. I like to stay active in cold weather by running outside, using my bike trainer inside (have you ever biked at 25 degrees? I'm miserable), and busting out the P90X videos!

  63. I just checked out their site and amazed at their stuff! I am just starting to run so I need base layer stuff!! Thanks for the great opportunity!Shawn

  64. I like you on FB!

  65. I stay active in cold weather by bundling up in layers and walking around my neighborhood. Being in Texas, there's not too many winter sports to partake in :)

  66. I liked your Facebook page! (and I still don't have one, so you're not the last one to do it!)

  67. I am with you on choosing gear that has pockets. I have to carry my key, cell phone and I touch with me at all times.

  68. I NEED cold weather gear because…#1 – I don't have much.#2 – I'm poor and can't afford it. (stay at home mom of 3 and my husband's a teacher)#3 – I hate being cold!!!

  69. I NEED cold weather gear because like you….I have to be prepared for this bipolar and unpredictable weather here in Austin!!

  70. I Tweeted!

  71. I look for comfort for running clothes. I don't want anything that's going to rub me the wrong way, fall down, feel too tight, etc… It's got fit well, stay in place, and not chafe me!

  72. I facebooked the giveaway with a link!

  73. I stay active in cold weather by running, walking, going to yoga, or doing my bike trainer in doors. I did my marathon last month and that definitely required some cold weather running training days/nights. I just bundled up and sucked it up, because I knew I needed to get it done if I wanted to reach my goal!

  74. I wouldn't mind seeing a review for the waterproof breathable jackets. I never know how they work and feel like I would be one big hot machine.

  75. I like you on fb!

  76. On days where the ground isn't covered with snow I hit the road for some runs. That's how I stay active in cold weather. And it has been cold here in IL!

  77. I like GO LITE on FB

  78. What features I look in for in running gear? Stuff that doesn't make me look like a sausage. LOL.

  84. #1 when looking for gear is comfort. It's gotta be comfy. Why do I need cold weather running gear? Because I live in Maine where winter starts in October and ends in May. Currently we have 3+ feet of snow on the ground and it's been about 7 degrees lately. Yup, cold.

  90. Tell me how you stay active in cold weather…I don't know what I'd do without my gym! I run the track, do spinning, but also have a treadmill & exercise bike @ home too.

  91. I'm interested in the waterproof/breathable jacket. In Florida rain is more of an issue than cold, but when the 2 come at once it's not pleasant.

  92. I "Liked" your Facebook

  93. Tell me how you stay active in cold weather. It's been colder than normal in Florida lately, but still comfortable enough to run outside. When I can't, I stay active doing yoga indoors or fitdeck workouts (http://fitdeck.com/)

  94. I "Like" GoLite on Facebook

  95. Comfort and fit above all when picking running gear. Pockets are a extra bonus, and a fun bright color will close the deal!

  96. Tell me what features you look for when choosing running gear.Comfort, pockets, breathable.

  97. Tell me why you NEED cold weather gear. Since I live in FL, I don't have many cold gear because it doesn't snow or anything, but that means I need it even more because I am not used to the cold :) I really need a good windbreaker that is waterproof and breathable more than anything.

  98. I NEED cold weather gear because I live in Illinois!! Lots of snow this winter – and COLD!! I'm always running a spring half, so Jan-Feb-March are training months.

  99. I really like the 3-layer lightshell jacket in Meridian blue :) . Amy Laurenproudpatriot2007(at)yahoo(dot)com

  104. The way I stay active in cold weather is two fold: lots of yoga and lots of layers (so I can run outside) :-)

  105. Features in running gear that I look for are performance fabric, good fit that won't chafe, reflection, and pockets. Guess I'm picky!

  106. I NEED cold weather gear because it's generally 30 deg colder in the mornings here in NM than it is in the afternoon and usually I have no choice but to run in the cold mornings. All winter I've been running in 20 degs or so. I need MORE cold weather gear so that I don't have to do laundry as often.

  107. Liked them on Facebook. I love how your giveaways are always introducing me to new brands!

  108. I really love the Wildwood Trail Sleeveless Run Top and supremely wish it wasn't out of stock! I'd like you to review the Wind Shirt.

  109. Welcome to FB! I liked you there.

  110. This is my first winter as a runner, and I've stayed active by getting out there anyway! It helped to schedule a half marathon at the end of February. I haven't been able to slack off even in the cold because I've got training to do!

  111. I already like GoLite on FB.

  112. When choosing running gear, shirts have to be long enough so that they won't ride up when I run (biggest pet peeve!!) and pants have to be snug enough so they don't fall down! I love technical fabrics and fitted clothing. Extra stuff blowing in the wind annoys me bigtime.

  113. I would love to see you review the Cross Timbers Zonal Tight pants…I have heard amazing things about these compression pants and this company – thanks for the opportunity to win!!! annsterwolfe@comcast dot net

  128. Any of their base layer 1 and 2 stuff. It's freezing here in the winter, but of course I heat up once I'm out and moving so quality wicking gear is essential

  129. I like you on FB!

  130. I'm injured right now but typically I run outside until it's around 15-20 degrees. Colder than that- I hop on the TM.Right now I'm doing yoga, on the bike trainer, and enjoying my 5 minute runs on the TM.

  224. Consider yourself "liked" on FB. :)

  225. Cold weather, sadly enough, either means gym workouts or occasionally running outside. I need more coldgear though, which is why this gear would be PERFECT for me! :)

  226. GoLite was already liked by me. :)

  227. Features for running gear – 1. Not too tight.2. Pockets3. Ideally – some type of compression. I have chub rub, so things to avoid this are a must-have.4. Wicking.5. Look cool.

  228. Why do I need cold running gear?Ummm. I live in Wisconsin, is that reason enough? ;) Also, I really want to run more outside versus the treadmill, so unless I want to do laundry daily (and who does?), I need appropriate stuff. :)

  229. Linked on my blog!

  230. Linked on FB!

  231. and finally, tweeted! :)

  232. I "like" you on fb.

  233. I "like" Go Lite on fb.

  234. I would be nice if you can review Go Lite's trail running shirt (longsleeve). They look super comfey!

  235. I'm a sucker for a good pair of running tights. I'd love to learn more about the Cross Timbers Zonal Tight.

  236. I tweeted your contest

  237. My favorite part of cold weather wear is the thumb hole. I love jacket or shirts that offer hand coverage.

  238. I live in Socal so it doesn't really get that cold here but when it is raining or windy, I do my running on the treadmill.

  239. Loved the look of that vest on the golite web site.

  240. Loved the look of the vest on the golite website … may be putting that I my wish list.

  241. I liked your facebook page.

  242. I stay active in the winter by choosing a race to train for. I like having a spring goal cuz it keeps me moving even when I don't want to.

  243. I don't know why but I have a fear of running in the rain so I would love to try out the Malpaís Trinity™ 3-Layer Liteshell Jacket.

  244. I liked the Golite facebook page

  245. When I am shopping for gear, I look for things with as few seams as possible. I like to run long distances and I do not like chafing or having to turn my clothes inside out.

  246. I need cold weather clothes: I am a morning runner and while TN isn't known for "cold" the temperature drops to the teens in the winter mornings. And anything I can do to avoid running on a treadmill, is a bonus.

  247. I tweeted out the blog with a link and started following you too. @blessedamerican

  248. The new Post Canyon softshell looks great. I think the green color in the picture is what caught my attention the most. :)

  249. Liked on FB

  250. Liked their page on FB now.

  251. I wish I could say I purchase running gear, but I generally walk so the function for me is not it as much as it would be appearance and quality of the material.

  252. To stay active in cold weather I try to live somewhere warm, LOL, actually I just work out inside.

  253. I NEED cold gear because I live in Michigan and I literally have at least 2 feet of snow outside right now. I'm training for my first marathon so I HAVE to go outside for my super long Saturday runs – cold gear will keep my booty from freezing!

  254. When picking out cold gear I look for the most basic thing – things that will keep me warm! I've bought some gloves and I ended up having to wear several pairs to keep me from getting frostbite – so anything that will keep me snuggly warm against the snow and wind!

  255. The way I stay active during the winter is to buck up, bundle up, and get out there and run – at least once a week outside – I can manage the treadmill all the other days :)

  256. I stay active in cold weather by bundling up and heading out for a run. Or I head over to the gym!

  257. Features I look for in running gear are comfort & breathability (is that a word?!)

  258. I NEED cold weather gear because I live in Montana & it is DANG cold here all the time!!

  259. I'll be posting this giveaway on my blog tomorrow (tuesday)

  260. I like the hydration packs, you should do a review/giveaway for those!!

  261. the post canyon softshell jacket would look great in my closet : )

  262. liked you on fb

  263. I stay active in the cold weather by running! I don't stop even when it's 10 degrees out. I also ski.

  264. I'm a pocket fan too, as well as reflective gear.

  265. 130 inches of snow…..remember : )I need all the help I can get.

  266. tweet!

  267. The Wildwood Trail Sleeveless Run Top looks AWESOME.

  268. Okay, so it doesn't get super cold in LA, but it's cold FOR ME. So, I bundle up, but usually not in the best way. I don't have any running jackets, so I usually throw on a cotton hoodie, which isn't super smart.

  269. This comment has been removed by the author.

  270. I liked you on Facebook :)

  271. I also gave a like on Facebook to GoLite! Their stuff is awesome!

  272. Tweeted @shebajc

  273. Staying active in cold weather is tough for me, especially since our sidewalks stink in the winter (no one ever clears them properly). I love to run outside, so I try to make do during the colder months on the treadmill or by going swimming.

  274. I need cold weather gear because I live in Northeast Ohio. Today it's unseasonably warm at 40 degrees.

  275. Ooo! I LOVE the Stelvio 1/3-zip Travel Sweater. It looks super soft and comfy, but it also has this really neat neckline with zipper. http://www.golite.com/Product/ProdDetail.aspx?p=206002210&mc=200&t=&lat=Reviewing would be great; I'd love to see how this fits.

  276. In running gear, I tend to layer. I'm not a big fan of bulky, but it can't be tight either. I run with my iPhone for music and hate the sleeve holder, so pockets are a must. Zipper pockets even better!

  277. I love the Wind River soft shell jacket. So pretty!

  278. Liked you on FB!

  279. Linking on my sidebar.

  280. I look for clothes that have a good fit (and pockets!). I don't want them to make me look huge or anything. :-)

  281. I stay active in cold weather the same way I do in warm weather. Right now I'm running 4x a week, doing water aerobics, line dancing, zumba, and rock climbing whenever I can get someone to belay me. The only thing I don't do in winter is bike!

  282. to stay active in cold weather I take yoga classes and go to the gym!

  283. In the winter, I hit the gym or do workout videos to stay active. If the roads aren't dangerous, I try to run outside.

  284. I NEED this gear because it's only getting colder in Maine and we won't start to see warmer temps until the end of March. My winter running clothing selection needs some help, especially the outerwear. I have great base layers, but crappy jackets and such.

  285. I'm looking at GoLite's site, and I just want one of everything! Well, maybe not the sleeveless baselayer top, though I do like their run tops. The Wildwood Trail one is so pretty!

  286. I would love the Longsleeve 1/4-Zip Run Top!

  287. I need cold weather gear because I live in Upstate NY and it gets COLDS here in the winter.

  288. My winter running must have is a jacket that is warm but still breatheable!

  289. tweeted!!!

  290. Liked GoLite on facebook!

  291. Checked out the site & appreciate the Environmental stance. I am an environmental scientist and one of those crunchy, know your ingredient types. I love trail running because it requires so little – but it does require some WARMTH. My cold weather gear is looking a bit worn and tattered – but at least I'm using it! I am all over those running skirts on GoLite. Holy Schmoley they are cute and would make my runnin' mama legs look seriously hot. :o )

  292. I liked you on FB and I don't know you IRL. I found you because of random crazy running dude who twittered about your giveaway. I'm reading up the posts now!

  293. I'm tall so I tend to buy Men's running tops so that my waist is covered. I also prefer to wear only synthetic on the "bottoms" too – so I like the wicking fabrics for that "end" too :-)

  294. I need cold weather gear because my gear is looking OLD. at least I'm actually using it rather than just sitting at the computer posting on some chick's blog wearing my favorite, go to, lime green light jacket… I'm not doing that …. I love the extra length in a sleeve when they have the little thumb holes so that you can cover your hands a little on a cold run… those right, there. But I'm not wearing it while I'm sitting on my rear.

  295. oh, I've wanted one of their packs for forever!

  296. I stay active in cold weather pretty much year round… :) Also, shoe spikes and nordic skis help

  297. I'm with you on the pockets..very important..

  298. I NEED cold weather gear because I live at dang near 9,000 feet and it's cold as the dickens AND I have to safety pin my one of two pair of pants so they don't fall down.

  299. I liked your FB page!

  300. I already "like" GoLite on FB.

  301. tweeted.

  302. Like your FB

  303. Already like thier FB

  304. I NEED cold weather gear because I am a weather weenie!

  305. I think I like everything they make. Still love my hydrosprint.

  306. I live in cold and snowy NH. I need a good under layer that wicks the moisture away.

  307. I stay active in the winter by running, snowshoeing, iceskating and lots of Yoga!

  308. For running gear in the cold… I like semi fitted pants and a nice jacket that not to bulky and of course, I'm a pocket girl.

  309. I love their jackets! I need something warm & weather-resistant.

  310. I snowboard to stay active in the winter!

  311. I need cold weather gear because winters in VT are snowy and COLD!

  312. I look for something that is warm but not too heavy to run in.

  313. I just tweeted about this great giveaway!

  314. I currently live in FL so it doesn't get super cold to often, so I still run outside. If it too cold for me however the treadmill or a workout DVD are ways I like to stay active.

  315. I know I just said I live in FL but I am actually moving to Chicago this summer and I know it gets super cold there so I will definitely need some cold weather gear soon!

  316. I love GoLite….I want one of their totes!

  317. I live in Florida…cold here isn't as cold as everywhere. I love my stationary bike!

  318. I like Golite on fb

  319. I need pockets and I need comfort….a lot of things aren't made for bigger girls….

  320. I need cold weather gear because it has been colder than expected and I am unprepared…also need some for when I visit other areas!

  321. hmmmm i like the down jacket…but maybe i'm just biased because i'm really cold in new england right now ;)

  322. i still go outside and run in cold . recently i've been hitting the climbing gym too

  323. i liked on fb

  324. when i'm choosing running gear….hmmm i like shorts that don't fall down (so they stick to my hips) and shirts that stay put! color is also important :)

  325. i need cold weather gear because it's february. in rhode island. we're in store for quite a few more months of winter.

  326. i posted on fb

  327. I need cold running gear because I train outside all winter! I'm doing a marathon next month and all of my training runs have been in the bitter cold :)

  328. I like the Wildwood Trail Longsleeve 1/4-Zip Run Top. Looks like it would be extremely comfy to run in.

  329. I Liked you on Facebook. :)

  330. I stay active in cold weather by running on my treadmill and doing Wii Fit.

  331. I Liked GoLite on Facebook

  332. I need warmth and pockets in my running gear. Have to have a spot for my iPod!

  333. I NEED cold weather gear because I'm running in only my 2nd 5k next month and it was FREEZING last year, so I don't have high hopes for this year!

  334. I liked your facebook page

  335. the reason I'd like to win is because I live in the good ole mid west! The winters get pretty darn cold and I don't have much in the "winter running gear" department because I've lost some weight and the old stuff is too big!

  336. Main way I stay active in the winter is by walking the trails or jogging on the treadmill!

  337. Too many items to like just one!!Canyon Wind Jacket; Stelvio 1/3 zip travel sweater, Sarek softshell travel hoodie, long sleeve 1/4 zip run top.

  338. I stay active in cold weather by still running outside, supplementing with spin and boot camp classes, doing ab work in my living room, and treadmill at the gym only when absolutely necessary :)

  339. I need cold weather gear because I live in NJ. We have had loads of snow this winter, and I've run outside in sub-freezing temps + 20mph+ winds. Cold weather gear is necessary in the north east, especially when you prefer running outdoors to the treadmill (like me).

  340. essential details on running clothes: I love pockets, moisture-wicking, anti-stink is great, and reflectivity for my outdoor runs.

  341. When you say cold weather gear, what temperature are you talking about? We hit single digits last week in the Chicagoland area and with the exception of the cold, I would have loved to have trained outdoors.

  342. I've "liked" you on FB

  343. I really need a pair of running tights…GoLit has a few nice pairs!

  344. I'm a Wisconsinite so I'm used to cold weather. When the sidewalks/trails aren't ice covered I do what I can to run outside. Or, if all else fails I go snowboarding!

  345. When choosing running gear the most important thing is length…long enough sleeve and pants! I have long monkey arms and legs!

  346. Umm..I NEED cold weather gear because I live in WI and we know how to do winter! Just last week it was -20…I love winter!

  347. I would love some warmer run gear, I didn't realize how chilly it gets in Phoenix in the winter…I think I forget this every year!

  348. I liked you on FB!

  349. I liked GoLite on FB!!!!

  350. I stay active in cold weather with home dvds or I hit the gym!

  351. I like running gear that allows the body to breathe and that is cute!

  352. I need some new gear because Phoenix gets chilly and I only have shorrt sleeve tech tees and 1 pair of sleeves!

  353. I linked on my blog…

  354. I posted on fb

  355. And I tweeted! I hope I win!

  356. Am i a little weird that my most fave item is the Arcadia 3 tent?? :) Thanks soo much for this chance!katch05 at gmail dot com

  357. Bahahaha–I love that picture in the sportscar!! :D Nice work! Why do I need cold weather gear? I live in Northern Minnesota! We have days that don't get above 0 degrees! (And, I have run outside on those days!)

  358. I stay active in cold weather by bundling up and getting out there. It's an inevitability in my area, so it's just something you live with! Though, I have just joined my first gym, and as I'm battling a cold at the moment, I am running there, but I miss the outdoors already. :(

  359. I looked at the site, and I love the Beartooth 650 Fill Down Vest, but everything looks amazing! :)

  360. And I tweeted the giveaway! :)

  361. All their stuff looks great!! I really like the Vermillion Thermal 1/3-Zip Top.

  362. To stay active, I run outside regardless of the weather. I've run in -4° WindChill (not fun, but better than a treadmill!!)

  363. Definitely need pockets!!

  364. I live in North Texas, and even though it doesn't stay cold here for long, when it's cold it's worse than any of the northern states. Last week we had negative wind chills for a week…UGH!!

  365. I stay active in cold weather just by sucking it up and doing it. I think about mile three and on. It never seem "tto cold" by that point.

  366. When it comes to cold weather, I just try to suck it up and go. No tricks. It never seems that bad by mile 3 or 4

  367. My feature in winter gear is wind resistance and, like you, pockets–to shed all those extra layers.

  368. I need winter weather gear because I have been working so hard that my body lacks "proprer insulation" :)

  369. Checked out the site and am interested in any base layer with good wicking as well as any wind/rain proof gear. I am currently training for my first half marathon and I live in Michigan. I am trying to get as many outside runs in as possible and it is cold, wet, snowy, windy, and pretty much miserable here most of winter!

  370. I really like the Post Canyon Softshell Jacket – the yellow is perfect for visibility!

  371. I "liked" you on facebook!

  372. I go running outside in cold weather! I actually ran on a treadmill a couple weeks ago and nearly died from the suffocating heat of the indoors. Lame.

  373. I liked GoLite on facebook too. :D

  374. When choosing running gear I consider price, wicking, degree of warmth, and how the item runs with me. Layering can help some but I actually got really cold on some earlier runs from wearing too many layers instead of just a couple good wicking warm ones.I also want something that doesn't ride up (or down?) and minimal chaffing. Unfortunately it's trial and error to figure that out which means you're already out the mula.

  375. I'd like to see a review of the Tilly Jane Run Skirt or the Dakota Wind Vest.

  376. I NEED some cold weather gear! This is going to sound disgusting, but I'm running 3x/week outside and only wash stuff once a week (to make it last longer). It gets nasty! For example, last week I ran in -2* windchill so I need some good warm clothes!

  377. I live in New England so finding creative ways to stay active in the winter is a MUST. I make full use of the gym and hot yoga. My bike trainer is a gift from heaven. And Yaktrax and layers-layers-layers get me through running in sub-freezing weather.

  378. Features I choose in running gear… bright colors and reflectivity. Want to make sure drivers see me!

  379. It's currently 25* with winds gusting over 40mph = a "feels like" of 10*. I NEED cold weather gear!

  380. Tweeted… @myliferunning

  381. I like you on fb

  382. I already like golite on fb

  383. I love the tilly jane run skirt. Would love for you to review this skirt. Mainly because I have been trying to find a running skirt that works for me.

  384. I have to have pockets and it has to be a good fit.

  385. I try to get outside in the winter as much as possible. Other wise I use a treadmill, ellipictial, spin bike, weights.

  406. Because i run in Florida, the BL-1 Sleeveless Top for women in white piques my interest.

  407. features I look for when choosing running gear: Why must running jackets only have a little zipper? I like those that unzip all the way. MP3 pocket. Pants with tiny waistband pocket. holes in jackets for headphones. zippers that go up and down easily. breathable fabric. fabric with sunscreen. large holes around armpits. adjustable waistband.

  408. I liked your FB

  416. In cold weather, I head to the gym – YOUR gym! ;)

  417. I'm the same as you, all about the pockets! Usually the pockets are reserved for keys/Gu, but I love things w/additional storage space bc I run with my camera and sometimes I am just OVER carrying the stupid thing!

  418. I need pockets too, pockets that ZIP! Looked through their site and what I want to know is if the wildwood trail sleeveless run top is as functional as it is pretty. Because I love pretty, but if it doesn't hold up, it's useless to me.

  419. Just tweeted via @goodfairyofny

  420. Awesome giveaway! Gear features that are important to me: Pockets. Women-specific cuts. No seams or chafe-resistant seams. And visibility — something reflective or a bright color.

  421. Winter running in New England requires good gear. There are days when it takes several hot showers and hand warmers to be able to realize I still have fingers!

  422. Cool products!

  423. bonus entry for sucking up to triciahahaha… you're the best!

  424. bonus entry for sucking up to tricia #2

  443. I look for very functional features like good pockets, tech fabrics, easy zippers, and easy on/off gloves for adjusting my laces or getting to my iphone.

  465. I stay active by chasing my grandkids around

  466. I need some cold weather running gear, because I am really bad about wearing the same old stuff and never throwing anything away. Unless it has holes in it, I keep it forever. :)

  469. I NEED cold weather gear…because I dont own any

  475. I need cold weather gear for year round training. Also, if I can't get in some exercise when it's cold I might kill my family! :)

  476. I would LOVE a Stone Ranch Fleece Jacket! So snazzy and comfy!

  488. I look for wind resistance and a longer fit/long enough arms bc I'm almost 6 feet tall. Plenty of easily accessible pockets are good, too.

  489. I tweeted it.

  490. I tweeted about this giveaway.

  491. For running gear – honestly? It's gotta flatter. If I don't feel comfortable, it won't get worn even if it's cute. My most typical complaint? Super low rise bottoms or super long shirts.

  492. Tweeted!

  493. And I like you on FB :)

  494. tweeted again!

  495. I think the Stelvio 1/3-Zip Travel Sweater looks super-cute and yet warm and comfy.

  496. I stay active in the winter by cross-training indoors and doing an indoor triathlon in February each year. I also align my workouts to my favorite tv shows. Right now I'm training for a half-marathon, so I had to run 9 miles – which went by much faster on the treadmill since I watched an hour and a half of new TV episodes I was excited for!

  497. I need cold weather gear because I live in Duluth, MN – its way up north and we get the ridiculous cold wind from "the lake effect" off Lake Superior… and to top it, as sick as I am of the gym, it doesn't look like spring is anywhere in sight!

  498. Liked you on Facebook.

  499. Tweeted again…

  500. I love the Post Canyon Softshell in light blue! Love the color and it looks so light.

  501. I like your blog on FB. Glad to see you there!

  502. I stay active in cold weather by simply loving all the seasons. I enjoy playing in the snow as much as I enjoy sweating it out under the sun. For me daily movement is like brushing my teeth, something I don't skip doing each day.I do have to make adjustement in what I do some days because I have little ones but they are mostly eager to support mommy and be part of whatever I am doing.

  503. In cold weather gear (or any season really) I look for several things; price, color, fit, function. And they really all have to come together for me to invest in a new piece otherwise I won't love it and get the use out of it to warrant the expense. Because gear can get salty.

  504. New cold weather gear would help me get outside more!

  505. Tilly Jane Run Skirt – super cute but I'd want to know how's the fit and does it ride up?

  507. In the winter months I run with my run club 2x week plus with a running partner another 1-2 times, cross country skiing (just learning how to skate ski!), hit spin class at least 1x week or I'm in the "pain cave" on the trainer and I have to do heated or hot yoga at leaset 2x week. They're all good training for the spring and summer races :)

  508. "liked" GoLite on FB

  509. zippered pocket(s) are a must and no riding up on shorts or tights. I love thumbholes in long sleeve shirts.

  510. This is the easy one… because I live in MINNESOTA :) and becuase I love running outside.

  517. I would love for you to review the baselayers. In Florida wicking is HUGE – everything gets soaked. Need baselayers year round!

  518. Believe it or not, it does get cold in FLA. I am a tri-coach and standing on the deck coaching swim when it is 30 is COLD for me. :-) of course not as cold as you.

  519. Believe it or not, I came to Florida for my big girl job. I actually prefer to train in the cold. I run faster, train longer.

  520. The Wildwood Trail Shortsleeve Run top looks pretty sweet. I love the colors!

  521. I "liked" you on Facebook! :)

  522. I "like" GoLite on Facebook, too. ;)

  523. Features I need/want for running gear: reflective detail, moisture-wicking material and definitely pockets!

  524. I still run outside when I can during the Winter. Plus, it's nice that I have a treadmill at home, too. Oooo, and we have a bunch of weight lifting equipment in our garage that DOESN'T gather dust. ;)

  525. i look for warmth, pockets, and comfort in running gear.

  526. I take my workouts to the gym for the cold winter months.

  527. I like their base layers, I really need more :)

  528. Liked your Facebook page

  541. the black mountain thermal wind jacket looks amazing…would love to see a review and comparison with the one you have now!so much great stuff on their website its hard to decide what to get!

  542. i like golite on facebook!

  543. wind resistance is super important for me in winter. my body is pretty good at regulating its temperature as long as the wind is blocked…and if i wear heavy layer i end up overheated even when its 10-20F.

  544. i give myself 1 indoor and 2 outdoor runs a week when the weather is very cold and only stay inside if there is a lot of ice on the roads (hello, New England 2010-2011). My bike and I have gotten very friend with my CycleOps this year as well. Great way to keep up the miles when its too cold to ride outside!

  545. I love the Castle Peak Zonal Insulated Parka. While I'm ready for spring and summer clothes, we have some harsh winters here, and it'd be nice to have a well-made jacket for snow and skiing.

  546. Omg I want I want I want!
